How Smartphone Adoption in Japan is Now Rising Quickly
Japan has been somewhat slow to adopt smartphones, in large part because their advanced feature-phones were already had dynamic web capabilities. But many in the country are now switching over.
eMarketer estimates that the number of Japanese using smartphones is increasing quickly, rising from 27.7% penetration in 2012 to 41.7% in 2013. That figure is projected to jump again to 60.2% in 2014.
