Can Intel Ultrabooks Revive the Windows PC Market?

According to the NPD Group, the real benefit of the Ultrabook has been addressing the crisis of confidence in the PC market over the past few years.

For the last five years we have seen the expansion of an almost pathological fear of higher price point notebook SKUS from both PC OEMs and retailers. In many ways the netbook was manifestation of this, and one that drove the market to new depths of ASP and revenue opportunity (to say nothing of profitability).

And the industry now has the confidence to stock and sell notebooks at price points once given up for dead.
