While the UK is widely regarded as one of world’s leading internet economies, digital exclusion remains a key challenge, with 9.5 million adults lacking basic online skills. There are 8.3 million adults, representing 16% of the UK population, not online. It’s estimated that the UK could gain £63 billion a year if it was to maximize the number of people online.
