The worldwide smart speaker market grew 52% in Q4 2019, with vendors shipping 49.2 million units in the quarter. For full-year 2019, vendors shipped a total of 125 million smart speakers worldwide — 60% more than in 2018.

Smart Speaker Installed Base will Reach 100 Million

Smart speaker shipments grew 197% year-over-year to reach a record 22.7 million units in Q3 2018 — the market will surpass 100 million units in use during 2018. Amazon remained the top-ranked vendor in Q3 with 32% market share, followed by Google at 23%.
