Global Upside for SDN and Bare Metal Networking in 2016
IHS reports the market for in-use Software Defined Networking (SDN) Ethernet switches and controllers will reach $1.4 billion in 2015. In the first half of 2015, bare metal switches accounted for 45 percent of global in-use SDN-capable Ethernet switch revenue.

How to Explore the Benefits of Bare-Metal Cloud Infrastructure
CIOs and CTOs want to know which type of cloud will help them meet their strategic IT objectives. Infrastructure architects want to understand where applications will run best. DevOps teams, meanwhile, want to learn which environment will help them deliver new applications quickly, and also manage them efficiently after deployment.

How Cloud Computing Growth will Reach $107B by 2017
Findings from the TIA’s study predict that business and consumer spending on cloud computing will surge from nearly $67.8 billion this year to $107 billion in 2017, with spending on constructing new data centers increasing 26% to $29.7 billion in 2017. Spending on data center construction is expected to show double-digit growth through next year, with slower growth into 2017.

How Next-Gen Data Center Fuels More Open Platform Demand
The ongoing shift to next-generation data center architectures continues to impact the legacy vendor community. The advent of cloud and mobile computing — as well as exponential growth in data variety and velocity — is upending the traditional data center innovation model.
Enterprise Networking Vendors Prepare for Valid Disruption
The introduction of open source software platforms and bare-metal systems into the legacy enterprise network realm will eventually disrupt the status-quo for leading vendors that have previously benefited from the lack of unruly innovation. Meanwhile, established vendors can still take advantage of the apparent resistance to change.
